ERCP

Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) is a specialized procedure used to diagnose and treat disorders affecting the bile ducts, gallbladder, pancreas, and pancreatic ducts. By combining endoscopy with X-ray imaging, the doctor can identify gallstones, bile duct obstruction, strictures, pancreatic diseases, and certain tumors. ERCP is not only diagnostic but also therapeutic, allowing removal of stones, placement of stents, dilation of narrowed ducts, and relief of blockages in a single procedure.
